Nokia Call Connect (NCC) is a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) application that installs onto Nokia E-series smartphones. When Nokia Call Connect is installed, Nokia E-series devices can connect to Cisco Unified Communications Manager over the Wireless LAN (WLAN). You can then make and receive calls from your Nokia E-series devices through Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

Corporations that have a voice-enabled 802.11 b/g wireless LAN coverage can take advantage of that network for voice calling by using dual-mode clients such as Nokia Call Connect running on Nokia E-series devices. By taking advantage of the installed wireless LAN, your business can extend call coverage into buildings where cellular coverage may not reach, and reduce toll charges associated with calls over the mobile carrier network. Calls that are routed over the wireless LAN to Cisco Unified Communications Manager are treated in same manner as all other VoIP calls. Security policies, call-routing rules, tail-end-hop-off, Quality of Service (QoS), call anchoring, call detail records, and single number reach are just a few of the features that you can use to your advantage.
