The Cisco Wireless Mobile Interface Card (WMIC) for Cisco 3200 Series routers provides integrated 802.11b/g wireless WAN or LAN capabilities. Designed in the same ruggedized, compact PC/104Plus form factor as the Cisco 3200 Series, the Cisco WMIC is engineered to be integrated as part of a Cisco 3200 Router, eliminating the need to use external 802.11 bridges or access points. The integrated WMIC helps enable a mobile network in vehicles as well as broadband wireless for outdoor infrastructure. The Cisco 3200 Series with integrated WMIC is a primary building block of the Cisco Metropolitan (Metro) Mobile Network, optimized for a citywide scalable, manageable, and secure broadband wireless access network.

This rugged Wireless MIC is configurable to support bridge, access point or work group bridge applications for operation in most of the Americas.
