The Cisco UCS C24 M3 Rack Server combines economics and a density-optimized feature set from entry level enterprise to SMB with applications such as scale out, virtualization, IT and web infrastructure, VPN servers, file/print servers, and appliances.

Building on the success of the Cisco UCS C-Series Rack Servers, the Cisco UCS C24 M3 rack server and the Cisco 1225 VIC extend the capabilities of the Cisco UCS portfolio in a 2 RU form factor. In addition, the Cisco UCS C24 M3 offers up to 12 DIMM slots, 24 disk drives, 5 PCIe slots, and two 2 Gigabit Ethernet LAN-on-motherboard (LOM) ports to provide exceptional levels of internal storage and price/performance.

The 24-drive version of the server has a SAS expander enabled backplane that supports up to 24 hard disk drives with a single RAID card.
